Race, Poverty, and Social Justice Conference
CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS
Many Voices—One Community (MVOC) is now accepting proposals for presentations at the Fifth Annual Race, Poverty, and Social Justice Conference(RPSJ), scheduled for Friday, November 3rd and Saturday, November 4th, 2017 at Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, VA. The 2017 conference theme is Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Justice. The proposal deadline is Monday, September 11th.
A primary objective of Many Voices – One Community (MVOC) is to provide educational opportunities to those seeking to become better advocates for racial equity. The Second Annual Race, Poverty, and Social Justice Conference is one way to provide this training. Through workshops and keynote speakers, attendees learn about different approaches to forward racial and social justice and gain a deeper understanding of how to create a more equitable community. We believe that one of the best ways to train our attendees is by drawing on the skills and expertise of those engaged in this work at a variety of levels and from a variety of perspectives.
Dynamic presenters and innovative workshops are crucial to the success of training at the conference. This Call for Presentations(CFP) is our way of ensuring that we offer workshops that explore different ways to address racial equity.
